I met Theo on a beautiful September Sunday afternoon at Binney Park.  Theo is a senior at Brunswick School.   Theo is also a member of the Brunswick varsity crew team as a heavyweight rower.   I have known Theo’s family for over 15 years and photographed his older brother Cameron about a year ago. 

We started the session with Theo’s parents.  They are always fun and there were lots of laughs.  I always enjoy capturing a senior with his or her parents and trying to figure out which parent the senior resembles.  I think Theo is a fantastic combination of his mom and dad but he certainly got his height from his father! 

Speaking of height, Theo is 6’ 3”.  For the first time since starting my photography business, I came prepared for the session with a foldable stool.  It helped so much and will now remain in my car.  I’m on the petite side so most of my clients are taller than me!

Theo was such a pleasure to spend time with.   He has an easy going, relaxed manner about him.  Theo’s mother stayed for the session and carried his change of clothing on her arm.  I joked last year that I could use her as a wardrobe assistant.  I felt the same this year.  It was great to vary up Theo’s clothing so that we could get a huge variety of images in his gallery.  Theo was such a good sport about all the wardrobe changes!

Theo has a million-dollar smile.  Throughout the session, I kept feeling like he resembled someone famous.  It was only when I went to edit his images that it hit me.  Anyone else get young Matt Damon vibes from this handsome senior? 

 I really enjoyed sending time with Theo and capturing him at the start of his senior year.  He is an impressive young man and so good natured.  I am excited to see what the future holds for him and hope he has a fantastic senior year!
